Julie Chen Moonves will host the reality series that is a huge hit in summer, Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on 5 August for its 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both the host and the moderator. She was a writer before becoming host, but her love of writing was for the written word. In fact, it won her an Emmy. She won another Emmy for hosting an exceptional entertainment talk show. From 2002 to the year 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. The previous assignments included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. After 9/11 she went to Cairo for a fascinating and informative interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with notable newsmakers including former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania and the former Defense Secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show, profiling celebrities including Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves reported as an anchor and reporter at the CBS-owned WCBS-TV station in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN TV Dayton (1995-1997). Her previous jobs include working as a reporter for ABC NewsOne, the network's associated news service (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant within ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991), all while finishing her last year of school at The University of Southern California. Her first position in broadcasting was as a desk assistant to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline along with Ted Koppel, who remains among her journalistic heros. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the Columbia du-Pont-winning Primetime Special that examined how the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
